Kanonkop Pinotage 1995

Kanonkop Wines,  and especially legendary winemaker Beyers Truter, is to a great extent responsible for proving to the world how good a Pinotage can be. The wines can be good to very good in their your but develop into superb wines over mid to long term maturation.  Full bodied and deep red in colour with concentrated Pinotage fruits of blackberry and cassis in balance with oak brings a long complex aftertaste which results in wines with immense power and potential.

1995 proved to be a top vintage; weather conditions warm and dry during ripening,  resulted in a wine with tremendous power and flavour – a vintage year by any standard.
