From the magnificent 2017 vintage, this Bordeaux blend made from 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot, 5% Malbec from the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain is set to be a classic. On the nose it has an intriguing fragrance of violets and thyme. Dry and full-bodied, it is a well-balanced wine with a spicy warmth and intense undertones of blackcurrant and tobacco. Superbly crafted with good balance of vibrant multi-layered fruit supported by tight, well-honed tannins. Opulent yet sophisticated with a long, compelling finish. This will age gracefully!

All the wines were made separately and matured in new French oak barrels for 23 months. Then the blend was made up and left in a tank for a month (to marry) before being bottled and matured for five months prior to release.
